GOOD SPEED - featuring a medium rocker, a full outline and a deep concave that enables the Raptor to maintain its planing speed over flat sections.
TIGHT TURNS - with its double concave through the fins it is quick to respond off the bottom and for tighter turns when the wave has a steeper face.
GREAT HOLD - The neutral rails and squash tail give you confidence to take those late drops when the waves turn on, with great hold in the face.
PERFORMANCE MOVES - The rail and tail combo gives enough manoeuvrability and tail release to get vertical if the needs arise.
BUOYANCY WHEN NEEDED - a fairly generous, medium volume, squash tailed everyday shortboard, giving easy paddling with a bit more buoyancy for the conditions that most of us face, but maintaining a performance edge when the waves turn on.
B360 TEST TEAM REVIEW
"Just enough volume to get me into the wave but love the responsiveness when I was up and riding. I test drove the 6ft 2 model in 3-4ft fairly clean waves and I’m used to a small wave fun board so it took a few waves to get used to the feeling of having more drive and hold, but once I was into the session I could really feel the performance kick in. The Raptor can generate a lot of speed and holds really well on tight turns. I can see this being a great all rounder, although I’d put this more in the performance category and get another higher volume board for those groveller days." JB
MANUFACTURERS DESCRIPTION
The Raptor is your everyday driver, a classic shortboard designed for a wide range of conditions including the average waves most of us encounter on a daily basis at home in the UK. It also has more than enough performance to work well on the days we live and look forward to.
It has a medium rocker, a full outline and a deep concave that enables the Raptor to maintain its planing speed over flat sections but with its double concave through the fins it is quick to respond off the bottom and for tighter turns when the wave has a steeper face.
The neutral rails and squash tail give you confidence to take those late drops when the waves turn on, with great hold in the face and enough manoeuvrability and tail release to get vertical if the needs arise.
The Raptor is a fairly generous, medium volume, squash tailed everyday shortboard suitable for intermediate and advanced surfers. Ideal for those average wave conditions and those seeking more floatation, easy paddling with a bit more buoyancy for the conditions that most of us face, but maintaining a performance edge when the waves turn on.
Suitable wave height chest to head and half. Aimed at intermediate and advanced surfers.
